𝙈𝘼𝙎𝙆4𝙈𝘼𝙎𝙆 presented by MĀHŪ MIX A dance ritual for the masked, the becoming, the seen, and the unseen. Masks are not only for anonymity. Across ceremonial traditions, masks can protect us, transform us, honor genealogy, mark rites of passage, make room for ancestral memory, and reveal the parts of us waiting to be seen. For our fourth Halloween, MĀHŪ MIX celebrates masculinity, the he/him, trans-masculine people, māhūkāne, butches, studs, masc-of-center babes, muscle divas, gay bois, and every expression of masculinity rooted in care, devotion, and eroticism. As the season turns toward Makahiki and the rise of Makaliʻi, toward Undás and Día de los Muertos, the lunar season shifts alongside us as we gather with reverence for those before us and responsibility toward those who come after us. Come masked. Make one, buy one, paint one, weave one, borrow one, or embody one. Come as a guardian, an ancestor, a lover, a doll, a monster misunderstood, a future self, or something that has not found a name yet.
