Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, @macaysa grew up listening to reggae, hip-hop, and R&B thanks to his older cousins. He has been DJing on and off for 15 years under the wing of his homie Bigwilliestyle, performing at everything from weddings and bars to house parties. As an open-format DJ, @macaysa is musically diverse and able to adapt to any situation. His experience ranges from country bars and big-room EDM/house to his mainstays of R&B and hip-hop, which he plays alongside the homies @hickiesanddryhumps . For him, the most rewarding part of DJing is seeing people dance and have a good time because of the music he’s playing.
