There’s something special about creating with your hands. 🪸✨ Here’s your chance to! Join us for Coral Bone Project Clay Day with artist Caroline Holmes, a free, hands-on community art experience inspired by coral reef systems, collective care, and our pilina to the ocean. Presented by the University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant College Program, Symphony of the Hawaiʻi Seas, and Capitol Modern, this interactive event invites participants of all ages to create coral bones from clay while exploring the connections between people, reefs, and place. Through art-making, conversation, and knowledge sharing, the Coral Bone Project raises awareness for the future of coral reefs in Hawaiʻi and beyond. Come shape clay, build community, and help “”artivate”” for reef futures. 🪸💙 🎟️ Free admission | All ages welcome | No RSVP required. Walk-ins welcome! 📅 Saturday, June 27, 2026, 1:00–3:00 PM 📍 Capitol Modern is the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum #CapitolModern #CoralBoneProject #HawaiiSeaGrant #OceanConservation #Hawaii Promotional graphic for Coral Bone Project Clay Day at Capitol Modern. The event invites participants of all ages to create clay coral forms inspired by coral reef ecosystems while learning about ocean stewardship, community care, and the future of coral reefs in Hawaiʻi.
